How I got here

Finding myself through health and fitness

Ever since I was in middle school, I would find myself getting extremely stressed. This was not just regular stress that most people endure, but a dangerous stress. It would build up inside without an outlet because I take things seriously, especially school. I would come home many days each week and cry. Yes... I would cry. I was overwhelmed with the work I had to do. The worst year, in terms of stress, was seventh grade. This was the year I knew I needed to change something; things could not go on the way they were. So, I took to my love of fitness. I continued to exercise most days finding fun new ways to keep myself interested; from running to videos online to making my own workouts.

All of these workouts definitely helped me through my stress but as the years went on, I realized physical activity wasn’t enough to manage how I felt. There was something more I needed to calm myself down that I wasn’t doing.

My mom suggested I try meditation, so I did. At first it seemed silly, but it really helped. Whenever I found myself stressing out, I would just take a step back and use meditation methods in my everyday life. I would breathe in and breathe out and become immediately more relaxed.

After I found more and more methods to better myself physically and mentally, I decided that I wanted to combine my love for health and fitness and my love for writing and motivating to make a blog-a place where we can build a community to exchange our thoughts, and people can take them or leave them.

As I ellavate health and fitness, I hope that you will come along with me. I can’t wait to share all that I know and learn even more!

I also want to say that not everything in my blog will work for everyone. We are all different, so what works for me may not work for you, and that’s perfectly OK!
