The sensation of everything stressful in your life floating away. Taking the time to just be with yourself, in your own headspace. That sense of accomplishment and the confidence that you could do anything. The overwhelming conviction that flows through each crevice of your body. This is the feeling I get when I work out.

Some people work out to reach a body goal, some for mental health, and so on. I work out to feel good, but any reason is perfect!

But... don’t just work out for a body goal; work out because you know it makes you feel good. Working out strictly for a body goal can make working out seem like a dreaded chore. If you make working out about feeling good and having fun, you will enjoy it so much more.

Also, I feel that our bodies do so much for us and allow us to do so much that we should pay them back with exercise.

Now for the tips and tricks...

1) Decide what time of the day you like to work out. I love working out in the morning best, but sometimes I'll switch it up. Some people like to have a specific time each day to workout, while others like to mix it up. So, find out if you can work out at different times in the day, or if there is a specific time that is best for you.

2) If you aren’t motivated for a workout, then try putting on some upbeat music, get up, and get excited! This is by far my favorite way to prepare for a workout. I love to dance around a bit and get my body moving.

3) Pick workouts you like! There are so many choices as to what you can do to workout. So, pick something you actually like and want to do. It doesn’t have to be the same thing every day, change it up if you want! I love variety within my workouts, so I am constantly changing them up!

4) If you always feel yourself getting out of workouts, sign up for a workout class. If you do this, you are more likely to stick to working out because you have signed up for a class, and this can be super fun. Now, with coronavirus many of us don’t feel comfortable to sign up for a workout class at a gym, so try working out with a friend or family member. This way, you both can hold each other accountable.

5) Relocate! If you are tired of the place where you normally workout, move. For example, if you normally workout at a gym, switch to working out at your house. Or... for coronavirus reasons, if you normally workout inside, workout outside.
