Ellavation Inspiration

Over the years I have learned tons of inspiring information and tips that lead me to my best self. Over the last few weeks, several of you have reached out for advice and motivation, and I thought today would be the perfect day to share it. The tips down below range from inspirational tips to my favorite books to my favorite influencers. Overall, general ways to ellavate your life.

  1. Over everything, be yourself! Do whatever you need to be your own you. I promise it is 100% worth it. As soon as I stopped trying to be someone I wasn’t, life became easier and happier. Things start to fall into place, and everything feels a lot more like it is supposed to.

  2. Tell yourself you are proud of you. You are doing amazing! No matter the ups and downs, you are trying your best.

  3. You have the power. The ball is in your court. If you don’t like who you are, change yourself. You are also so much stronger then you think you are. You just have to believe in yourself, which sounds cheesy, but it is totally true.

  4. Consistency is key. I know it is such a basic saying, but the more you incorporate a healthy lifestyle into your daily routine, the more it becomes a habit.

  5.  Breathe. Whenever you start to feel overwhelmed, just breathe. My favorite anxiety reducing breath is inhale for 4, hold for 7, exhale for 8 and repeat. I also highly recommend looking up the Wim Hof guided breathing it’s super cool.

6. Balance. A healthy lifestyle can be challenging to maintain, but it is absolutely impossible to maintain it if you are only trying to eat healthy foods or only trying to do work all the time. You need balance to create a happy, healthy life that you enjoy.

7. NO ONE is perfect. Know that if you are putting your best foot forward, then that is all you are capable of. You can’t do everything all the time and have it be amazing 24/7. That is just impossible. So, go easy on yourself.

8. As far as books go, I love to read because I think it can be super relaxing. Trust me though, I definitely go in waves of reading a bunch and not reading at all. I like to read books that will allow me to submerge myself into a story where I can forget about what is going on in my life, and think of someone else’s. A few good options I like are: “American Dirt,” “Breath,” “Swimming to Antarctica,” and “Into Thin Air.” I love adventure, and historical fiction books. I recommend that you read whatever interests you, but try to give reading another chance. For me, I have to have a book that pulls me in right away. So, if it isn’t, then I have to put it away and try to find another book.

9. Influencers: The main tip I will say about influencers is to make sure you are following people that are adding positivity to your life and not making you feel bad about yourself. One of my favorite blogs and Instagrams is Feasting at Home. She makes amazing food and has tons of healthy options. I also like to follow Instagrams with inspirational quotes and cute messages to make me smile throughout the day. My two favorite workout and wellness influencers are @madfit and @sarahs_day. If you want a little positivity head to @chopra or @ashleystewartyoga. I look to these pages for inspiration and positivity, but I don’t look to them to copy who they are. We need to embrace who we are, not who someone else is.

10.  I know it is tempting, but try not to compare yourself to anyone. You are enough and you are amazing. Everyone is going through something and Instagram is not reality.
